Lake Eyasi

NORTH TANZANIA

LAKE EYASI

Home of the Hadzabe Tribe

Lake Eyasi is home to the Hadzabe bushmen, the indigenous inhabitants and the last community of hunter-gatherers in Africa. The soda lake is situated at the southwestern end of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area between the Great Rift Valley Eyasi escarpment and the Kidero mountains.  A visit to Lake Eyasi is worthwhile as you can experience the life of the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes, where they will show you where they live and hunt.
