Mikumi National Park is the closest park to Dar es Salaam, which is one of Tanzania’s most vibrant cities and links to the coast. It is Tanzania’s fourth largest national park covering an area of 3,230 square kilometers. The landscape of this park is quite similar to that of the Serengeti and for that reason it is called “Little Serengeti”. Mikumi National Park borders the Selous Game Reserve in the south and it is home to the Big 5.
