Ruaha National Park is located in Southern Tanzania covering more than 20,000 square kilometers making it the largest national park in Tanzania.  Ruaha has the greatest concentration of elephants in Tanzania and is also home to a wide variety of wildlife, including lions, giraffes, cheetahs, zebras, antelopes, and more. It is also a popular destination for bird-watchers, with over 500 species of birds. The Ruaha National Park offers a unique combination of landscapes, from grassy plains and hills, acacia and miombo forests, baobab trees, and the Ruaha River. During the dry season, the great Ruaha River becomes the main source of water for wildlife, making it a prime point for game drives.
